There are many reasons to love spring, but the reason I love Spring so much is the easy, relaxed outfits I get to wear.

I own so many button down shirts. They’re the most versatile piece in my wardrobe, so I always make sure I invest in new ones each season. This one is a linen shirt from Uniqlo, it’s so it’s cool, lightweight and goes with everything. There are so many ways to wear them – waist wrap-arounds, as a layering piece, over dresses or with a pair of denim cutoffs.

A great way to achieve an effortless look is to roll your sleeves above you elbows and leave the first four buttons un-done.

Today I wore it with a denim skirt (the must have skirt of the season) and a pair of white sneakers – seriously, what is it with me and sneakers?! I went for more of a minimal look today and kept my accessories pretty simple. If you wanted to take this look from casual to a little more dressy, just add a wedge heel and an over-sized tote.

  1. I would wear a denim shirt with denim shorts, or white jeans, because no one said double denim isn’t over yet! I’d wear either nude for dinner, or white sneakers if I’m feeling a bit ‘street’ for the weekend. Simple, classy and classic. Wish me luck angharad.price@gmail.com

  2. When it comes to styling my spring go to’s casual and effortless is my aim. It’s the time to bring a splash of colour to my wardrobe, I go for brighter sweaters with looser fits teamed, with paler denims and I totally agree, sneakers, white of course. If I had the benefit of having this linen in my wardrobe, I’d go for a loose knitted, pink or cream over pale ripped boyfriend jeans and a tan clutch, tan always seems to feel like spring!

  3. Love your blog post and I need this shirt in my life! I have a pair of dark denim high waisted flares, I would wear the uniqlo shirt un-tucked with these and my favourite converse sneakers for an easy weekend outfit. Finishing touches; sleeves rolled up, sunnies and sunscreen!

  4. I would style this shirt as slightly oversized and half-tucked into a pair of black skinny jeans (because really monochrome always works). I would also add a splash of colour with a bright clutch and either white sneakers or black heels depending on if it was coffee time or wine time!

  5. This shirt is so versatile, to style it for Spring days I would wear it, sleeves rolled up, with a flowing colourful mid length skirt, and black sandals. For Spring nights, I would wear it tucked into a pair of black high waisted skinny jeans and simple black heels- simple yet classy!

  6. I have a couple of white button down shirts that I absolutely love. I pair this shirt with some distressed denim shorts with the front of the shirt slightly tucked in. I love a more casual look so would wear my white converse shoes and carry my classic black handbag!

  7. As usual, you’re killing it babe and look sensational. I’d style this loosely tucked with a white lace bra underneath, white distressed skinny jeans, some Stan Smiths and a pair of aviators! Clean and simple for Spring.

  8. I’d style a white linen shirt unbuttoned over a bikini with some denim cut offs, birkenstocks and aviators for a casual Sydney beach day! For a night time look, I’d pair a linen shirt with a fitted tan suede skirt and mules.

  9. Loved the comment, ‘spend in one transaction or the remainder is forfeited’, it made me laugh. No one will have difficulty spending the entire amount. I would wear the shirt untucked with the sleeves rolled up,do up a few more buttons so I can upturn the collar, then tie it with three quarter distressed denim jeans and roman strap sandals. Throw my hair up, put on a pair of sunnies and grab an oversized bag.

  10. divine!! Ummm I’d either a) go and find the skirt from your post and buy it because it’s perfect or b) wear with a pair of high waist, wide leg black pants, some wedges and a leather clutch for a dressier 70s vibe.

  11. Amazing! I am imagining a crisp white linen shirt, navy chino shorts, tortoise shell sunglasses and a tall refreshing cocktail in the sunshine by the water

  12. In a perfect world I would style with cuffed boyfriend jeans and Valentino style heels, with beachy summer hair. But in reality I would probably get changed, pop back into bed, then go linen on linen and wear my shirt in bed while tucked up with a tea and a book. Then when it’s time to go I’ve got that “lived in” look nailed ha!
