I’ve had a little bit of a Spring clean of my make-up the past few weeks and I have been reintroducing brighter shades now that the weather is heating up. Like I mentioned in my “Lighten your look for Spring”, blog post last week, I thought I would put together a Spring make-up look. This look is a little bit of an experiment – it’s all about the eyes. I love a statement eye, and it doesn’t always have to mean you have to wear a smokey eye.

This look looks beautiful with fresh whites or earthy tones.

I have already applied Mac foundation & concealer and a Maybelline brow gel. Here I am applying a light coloured matte eyeshadow, for all the eyeshadows to blend into. Apply all over your lid.

Taking a blending crease brush ( I am using Zoeva soft crease brush), apply the orange to your crease. You don’t need a lot of product – build up your colour as you go.

orange

The orange from this palette is beautiful and highly pigmented! I used the Sleek Divine Sunset Palette.

From the same palette, take the golden shade and apply to your lids – blending into the orange.

Gold and orange – so perfect together!

Take the orange underneath the eye and blend it out.

Again, using the same palette, take the lightest shade and apply to the inner corner of your eye. This highlights the eye and makes your eyes appear larger!

light

A great alternative to white or silver.

Curl your lashes and then apply two coats of mascara.

Because your eyes are the statement part of this look, go with a nude lipstick. I used the Zoeva Creamy nude.

lips

I am completely obsessed with this shade and I love how creamy it is.

Apply some blush for that healthy glow look!

A gold based highlighter works so well with this look. Add to your cheekbones, cupids bow and centre of your nose! I used the Model Co Luminosity High Lighter.

high

I normally use powdered highlighters, but I recently came across this one. Goes well with tanned skin!
