I have teamed up with Samantha Wills to bring you my edit of her new collection: Masculine Vs Feminine Fine – which is inspired by Samantha’s love of skulls and love of mixing opposing elements to create a visual rhapsody. The new collection is everything I have been waiting for, from SW. I too am obsessed with skulls, but that is no secret. I am a big fan of fine jewellery at the moment, it’s understated, but pulls together an entire look beautifully.

Jonathan and I had an initial concept that fell through due to weather that involved the (non-phallic) usage of hot-dogs, double denim and other goodness, but a last minute meeting during a decidedly scary electrical storm produced the imagery you see above (ie. up) that we love even more than anything (again – non-phallic) we might have envisaged previously. It’s funny how one idea can fall through and another can be born from it so quickly – it truly forces your creative juices to flow at full force. We couldn’t be any more thrilled with our strong concept of feminine Vs masculine; we think it is one of our best shoots to date and – you’ll have to take our word for this – far stronger than our initial ideas / brainstorming may have produced.

Without explaining our methodology, think jungle animals, crowned princesses, purity and way too long in the shower washing gold acrylic paint from ones hair with more conditioner than you can ever imagine one person to own. Like, way too long.
