Accessories make even the most basic outfit spectacular. They make you appear polished, elegant and put together. Here are my three I can’t live without this season.
When it comes to styling, especially with a wardrobe that favours a cohesive colour palette it’s important to accessorise in interesting ways.
A few key pieces can make all the difference when styling an outfit. Having key accesories doesn’t mean you’re being repetitive. Repeating pieces only become boring when you’re being unimaginative; If you’ve become stuck in a rut with your accessory choices, here are my top pieces for Spring / Summer 2016.
A STATEMENT WATCH
For me, nothing beats a streamlined watch. Choose one that is timeless and stylish so that it compliments any outfit. I love my elegant timepiece form Cluse Watches. The clean, minimalist look and the refined metal finish is perfect for wearing casually or in the evening. I used to be the type of person to wear over-sized timepieces, but I really love the size of this watch as it is timeless and a lot more versatile!
A NECK SCARF
Don’t be scared of introducing statement pieces when it comes to accesories. I love adding a pop of colour if I am wearing white, denim or black. The easiest colours to introduce, to an otherwise neutral wardrobe are gold, silver, emerald, maroon and blue. They tie in seamlessly and they’re not going to be colours you regret 10 years down the track.
The great thing about a neck scarf is you can tie it so many different ways: 1) Bow 2) Loose knot 3) Choker style
I pop large earrings on with everything lately. It always makes me feel like I have made more effort than I have.
