When it comes to New York, there is constantly so much to take in, and you’re never given the chance to really get bored. I love that each neighbourhood has it’s own character and style – you could see factories, colorful row houses, and within a few minutes, you’ll be walking past a crazy-ass mansion.

If I’ve learned anything over the past few months is that it’s incredibly important to maintain a routine while you travel. Initially the struggle on my end is entirely mental. The mental adjustment to living a lifestyle that doesn’t reflect how you generally live the carefully curated lifestyle you’ve set for yourself.
To be honest this is a hard blog post to begin. I have now been back in Australia for two weeks and looking through / editing images for this post has me wishing I was back in California.
It’s interesting that even though you may prepare fastidiously in the weeks leading up to a trip you can still feel completely unprepared. You will inevitably have loose ends to tie up or you will think of the last-minute items you don’t have and need to buy.
Every day contains within it countless opportunities, all dictated by the choices you make. If you stay within your comfort zone too long, you just may miss out on an amazing new opportunity.
How many dressy outfits do I keep out. Will I need 5 different coloured coats? Will there be a legitimate need of every single one of my pairs of white sneakers? et cetera, et cetera. Here’s what I have learned in the past fortnight.
