Damn it feels good to have new hair!!

I have been realllly wanting to change my hair for a while – I have been ummmming and ahhhhing for at least two months, but I had all natural hair (basically) so I was finding it hard to part with. I grew my hair out over two years and I loved the condition and length, but there was just a little nagging voice in my head telling me it was time for a change…

I really wanted to go light for Winter because everyone usually goes dark, wears dark clothing and the days are fairly dark themselves. Bright is best! I love the contrast of the blonde against my darker clothes and the shorter length is such a nice change!

Alan and Tiff at Alan Buki for Original & Mineral worked their magic and created my new look! Tiff coloured and Alan cut / styled!

Tiff  said (about the colour) “I used a Keratin lightener which adds keratin to the hair bonds as it lifts, also using Niophlex (Label M) to ensure hair is optimum beautiful condition, especially as we began working on beautiful natural hair, we wanted to keep that in mint condition!
The tone of colour we have went for is a creamy natural velvet golden blonde! Using CCT liquid for extra shine of cold pressed organic argan oil and macadamia oil! The longer the toner is left on, the longer it will stay in the hair!

Alan said (about the cut) “The cut is sexy, choppy, textured ends and accompanies the colour just perfectly, blunt layers creating heaviness and movement! Fringe versatile able to be worn to the side or straight down!

And last but not least: Hair styled with O&M frizzy logic, blasted the hair dry, created the wave with tong and sea salt sprayed to create bounce and movement!
The colour at home is to be maintained with a personalised colour bomb from Label M, which is a light malt tone with a intensive reconstructing base!

BIG thank you to Alan and Tiff! You guys killed it!

*This is NOT a sponsored post – just wanted to share the love and show you my new hair!

Alan and his team are a part of the sustainable hairdressers program. For eg: hair is donated to little children, hair from the floor goes to The Great Barrier Reef to help with oil spills and much, much more.

  1. YES! You look absolutely incredible! I totally agree with the whole “go light for winter because everyone goes dark”. I was tossing up between darker or lighter for winter too and that was ultimately my deciding factor – be different 😉

Light hair suits you so much and the length is perfect. You’re such a little dreamboat! xx
