Denim for some people can be a tricky item to style – they think it’s too casual, they think it looks dated, they think it’s a massive fashion faux pas or unconventional. As with all things in fashion, this once fabled faux pas has evolved into a lot of peoples every day wardrobe – me inclusive. That’s what I love about fashion – there used to be barriers and now, they’ve all been broken down.

I own a lot of denim. Like, a lot, a lot. I have skinny jeans from high school, jeans from all the years between 2007-2015 and I just purchased another pair of flares yesterday. I am hooked. I am going to bet you too have a collection too. There’s just something about denim which makes you think you need all these different pairs. Even though I own different pairs, I seem to gravitate to the same ones weekly.

All that aside I still think you can never have enough.

My collection ranges from classic blues, to distressed grey, to flared black to faded red. No two pairs in my wardrobe are the same. I like to think of myself as a little bit of a denim aficionados – I have purchased a lot of different brands over the year and have my favourites based on how they wear, how they wash, how they stretch and how they age.

Late last year I was introduced to a new label called Dricoper. I always like finding new denim brands as even though it’s a simple fabric, it’s really easy to get it wrong because some brands cut corners or don’t have the right technology. Dricopers fit is true to size and the wearability thus far has been fantastic. I think it’s girl code to let other girls in on what jeans work because sometimes it’s like pulling teeth trying to find the right ones come Winter time. Today I am bringing you my new collaboration with Dricoper and Urge Footwear – shot by Jonathan.

One of the reasons I love denim is because there are one hundred and one ways to style it.  From casual weekend wear to dressed up night time looks, there really is no limit to what you can do with it. I chose to style each pair in an “off duty”, relaxed style. Lots of lace, leather and simple t-shirts. This is my favourite ways to wear denim – completely effortless.
