When your wardrobe contains a denim skirt, a denim jacket and jeans, your outfit options are limitless.

I am fussy when it comes to the right fit and feel of denim and one brand I have loved for three years is Assembly Label. From their jeans and shorts, to their cotton t-shirts I am in love. I have worn their boyfriend jeans (pictured below) for three years and always receive the nicest compliments when I do. Anyone who owns their t-shirts can attest how luxurious they are and how well they wash. Another thing I love is their price point; it is so achievable for us. So if you’re looking for a mid-range denim overhaul, look no further. I got you.

In recent years, denim skirts have made a comeback, and they are one of the most versatile pieces a girl could own.

I’ve paired mine with an effortless cotton tee, but a denim skirt can be worn in so many ways. Wear it with anything from a leather jacket and heeled boots, to a cami and heels.

A denim jacket transforms any outfit instantly and because it’s so versatile, you can literally wear one with anything (yep, that includes the canadian tux and my favourite, double denim).

Does anything say comfort like an oversized jacket and a linen dress?

If you want to be a little low-key about your look, a crisp, white linen shirt and jeans make such a classic outfit. Pair with some statement shoes to give the look some personality. Crank your weekend brunch ensemble up a few notches by completing the look with a woven bag.

Another favourite of mine is pairing an oversized knit with boyfriend jeans. It’s comfort level 10000.

I am squeezing in some denim short time while I still can before the Australian weather transitions into cooler times. Whilst shorts are reserved for weekend wear, there are so many ways to wear them. I have kept this look simple and refined, but throw on a blazer and a red lip and you will be ready to meet the girls for brunch in no time.
